WHAT IS DIVISIONALS?
 

At Divisionals, all six teams in our division will send their fastest swimmers to compete in each of the five events. Every swimmer's time from Divisionals will be used to determine who qualifies for the Colonial Swim League All-Star Meet the following Saturday.

Each team can enter up to 3 swimmers per event, and each swimmer may compete in up to 3 events total. There are four CSL Divisional meets taking place on Saturday, July 19. From those meets, the top 18 swimmers in each event (plus 3 alternates) across the entire league will be selected to swim at All-Stars on Saturday, July 26.

 

CRITICAL PART   ⚠️ ACTION NEEDED – Don’t Miss This! ⚠️

ALL Penguins swimmers should DECLARE their availability for DIVISIONALS ASAP but no later than 11:59pm this Sunday, July 13th!

 

Available swimmers need to fill out the google form, ranking the five swim events in order of their preference (100 IM counts as an event for Divisionals and All-Stars). Swimmers can only swim 3 out of the 5 events, and since many families are on vacation or have other conflicts, the Divisionals line-up often goes deeper down the ladder than you might expect. So even if your swimmer isn’t in the top 5 for an event, it’s still important to declare their availability and submit their preferences using the link below.

Swimmer selections will be based on both their preferences and their fastest times, as shown on the team ladders (Penguins 2025 Ladder). Coaches will use the ladder to build the final Divisionals line-up. You can also check out the Colonial Swim League ladder to get a sense of where your swimmer stands across the league—this can help when deciding which strokes might give them the best shot at qualifying for All-Stars.

Swimmers selected for Divisionals have an adjusted practice schedule: 11-18s will swim at 8-9am and the 10 & unders will practice from  9-10am.
