Barracudas 2021 1st Week Update & Officials Training
Hi Barracuda families,
What a great first day of practice! If you haven’t started practice yet, don’t forget to bring BOTH of the required forms. They are needed BEFORE your swimmer can practice.
Officials: We are still looking to add to our wonderful team of Officials! If you’re interested, watch the stroke and turn video on the Midlakes site: Midlakes Swim League : Officials Training (teamunify.com) and let us know so we can add you to our list. There will be on the deck training at the meets (and a casual training next week - see below). Officials on the Deck Training – Next Week: Have you watched the Officials training video on the Midlakes site and want to get some pointers and on the deck training BEFORE a meet? Well, you’re in luck! Next week on Tuesday June 8th and Wednesday June 9th at 4:30pm Paul Farag and Edgar Valetin will be at the pool during practice to work with new Officials. Come on by, meet Paul and Edgar and get your feet wet (not really…well, you might) and see what it’s all about!
REQUIRED to Participate- Midlakes Form & SafeSport Certificate of Completion: Swimmers need to bring the signed Midlakes SafeSport form AND a copy of the SafeSport certificate of completion to their first day of practice. Check in with the coaches on your first day. Midlakes information with the link to the online class and form: Midlakes Swim League : Safe Sport (teamunify.com) In order to participate, these forms MUST be brought with your swimmer on their first day of practice.
Practice Meet: This year’s practice meet will be held on the morning of June 12th. We will be getting out the specific meet information in the next day or so along with a volunteer job sign up. Stay tuned!
Registration: is now totally closed and we have 130 swimmers! Whoo hoo!
