Cedarmill Swim Team

Online Registration Information

Welcome to the 2025 Summer Swim Season!  Cedarmill will be competing in the Manuel Division of the Gateway Swimming & Diving Conference.  The swim team will compete against Lake Chesterfield, Cool Dell, Washington, Lake of the Woods and MAC.

The complete schedule of swim team events will be available on the Cedarmill TeamUnify website: https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/recgtcsmo/page/events.

Please follow these simple steps to complete your registration for the Cedarmill Swim Team.  **PLEASE READ CAREFULLY TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE FOLLOWING EACH STEP!**

1. To register for Swim Team, complete registration on our TeamUnify site, start by reading the 2025 Registration Packet at https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/recgtcsmo/page/team-info/registration-packet. This MUST be completed before your child participates in their first practice, as all of our waivers are on this site. This must be completed yearly. If completed correctly, all swimmers and divers will show up with a status of “waiting for approval” once you complete the registration process. We will individually activate all swimmers prior to the start of the season.

2. Read the attached Swim Team Policies on the TeamUnify site.

3. Read the attached description of work duties.  Sign-ups for all work duties will be done later this spring through TeamUnify.  For swim team, 3 work duties will be required of each family throughout the season, plus an additional work duty during the conference meet if you are swimming conferences. We cannot run meets without parental /adult volunteers and appreciate your help! Please note, if you wish to have someone else cover a work duty for you, that is perfectly fine, provided that individual is 15 years of age or older.

SWIM FEES
There are two options for swimmers. Option 1 is for Cedarmill Bath and Tennis Club members. Option 2 is for swim team members that are not active members of the pool. Please note, that past club members are not able to join the swim team as swim team only members due to the club by-laws.

  • 1 - Swim Team - CLUB Member: $100 NOTEThis option is for pool member children aged 18 or younger who are joining Swim Team
  • 2 - Swim Team - NON-CLUB Member: $160 NOTEThis option is for non pool member children aged 18 or younger who are joining Swim Team

Please note that after May 15th, both registration fees above will be raised by $20. This extra payment is due to the additional cost to increase our insurance as well as ensure that we have enough coaches available for the season.

Swim Practice Expectations

As the season progresses, swimmers will be expected to swim as follows:

8 & under swimmers can expect to swim 10 – 25 lengths of the pool during practice.

9 & over swimmers can expect to swim at least 40 lengths of the pool during practice. For new swimmers, this may seem like a lot. Don’t worry! We ease into it.

Your age group is determined by your age on May 31, 2025.  Anyone 18 or under on that date may swim in the Gateway league.

Swim Meet Expectations

Swimmers are expected to participate in all meets and the Conference Championship unless there is a specific need to miss or an emergency. The Gateway Conference rules require that swimmers compete in at least three meets to be eligible to participate in the Conference meet. The Conference swim meet is July 11th (11 and over) and July 12th (10 and under).  Please put this on your calendar. We would like ALL swimmers to swim this meet!

Swim Practice Schedule

2025 Cedarmill Swim Team Policies

Work Assignment Policy: Swim meets cannot happen without parent participation!  Each family is required to fulfill THREE work assignments during the season and one conference duty if swimming.

We ask that all families sign up for their work duties by June 3rd.  If you have any questions or issues, please contact the parent reps.  Any family not signed up for their three work duties by this date will have them assigned. If you are assigned a work duty and can not fulfill it, you are in charge of finding a replacement.

Any missed work duty will incur a $100 fine per instance. Prior to the start of the season, you will need to provide 3 (three) $100 work commitment checks. For each work duty not completed, we will cash 1 (one) check for $100. These checks are required prior to attending your first swim practice.

Buyout Option - We need families to work, however, if you know ahead of time that you will not be working your 3 (three) work duty requirements, you do have the option of adding a family buyout to your registration. This option will invoice you for $300 at the time of registration. If you decide to work after the fact, we can return your buyout fee minus the credit card transaction fee.

IF YOU HAVE ISSUES SIGNING UP FOR WORK DUTIES, PLEASE CONTACT JOHN PEARSON ([email protected]).

Additional policies include:

  • If you cannot fulfill an assigned work duty, it is your responsibility to find a suitable replacement. IMPORTANT: If your child is sick and cannot attend a meet at the last minute, it is still your responsibility to find a replacement! Utilize the Cedarmill Facebook page if needed.

  • For Time Trials, we are asking families to only sign up for one job initially.

  • One of your required 3 (three) work duties must come from either a timer, alternate timer, or bullpen shift.

  • Each family with conference swimmers must work one shift at the conference meet.

Rainout Policy:  If an event is rained out your work assignment must be made up when the event is rescheduled.  If you are not available to work at the rescheduled swim or dive event, it is your responsibility to find an individual to work for you and notify the Volunteer Coordinators of your replacement.  If the event is not rescheduled, the work assignment is counted toward your total number of required work assignments.

Alcohol Policy:  While alcohol is allowed on Cedarmill property, drinking of alcoholic beverages is prohibited by any meet worker or board member during any sanctioned event.  If you choose to split a work assignment with your spouse, both parents are prohibited from drinking alcoholic beverages during the meet.  This is a Gateway League policy and can result in our team forfeiting the entire meet and league fines. If you are not working and choose to drink, please drink responsibly.

Single Division Participation Policy:  Swimmers and Divers may only participate on one Gateway League team.  If our team fails to comply with this rule, we will be fined $500.00 and disqualified from participation in the Division Championship Meet.

Meet / Bullpen Policy:  The bullpen is for swimmers and immediately family only. Please do not leave children and/or valuables unattended in the bullpen. While in the bullpen, no balls or thrown items are allowed. Please clean up after yourself and monitor your children and the upcoming events.

Post-Meet Celebrations:  Jumping into the pool or throwing people into the pool after the completion of a meet is not permitted by the Gateway League for safety reasons.

Suit Requirements: The Cedarmill team suit can be purchased at B&B Aquatics. Pursuant to Gateway rules, no swimmer may wear a technical suit at any dual meet or conference championship meet.

Gateway League Fines:  Any athlete or parent who violates a Gateway policy which results in a fine to Cedarmill will be responsible for reimbursing Cedarmill for that fine.
