All swimmers entered in City Meet must be registered with CSA and must have swum in at least one dual meet during the season. Unregistered swimmers will be scratched from the meet. We are very careful to uphold CSA rules for eligibility of swimmers. Not doing so puts the entire team and all of our results at risk. Thank you for helping us by following the CSA rules to the best of your family's ability.
Below is the 2025 City Meet info, but will give you an idea of how things will work for 2026. As far as we know, things will remain very similar to this for the 2026 meet.
The CSA Championship includes two separately scored meets:
1. Open Championship (“Open”) – timed finals meet with unlimited entries.
2. Prelims/Finals Championship (“Prelims/Finals” or “P/F”) – prelims/finals meet with restricted entries.
MORNING PRELIMS (AM) /TIMED FINALS (PM) SESSIONS
1. We will run two 8-lane courses concurrently in the championship pool, divided by the moveable bulkheads.
2. Events will include Open Championship events and Preliminary rounds of the Prelims/Finals meet (with the exception of 8&U/6&U events on Saturday afternoon).
3. In general, boys compete in the “Scoreboard Pool” (the pool closest to the large scoreboard), and girls compete in the “Dive Well Pool” (the pool near the dive well).
4. All 25-yard events, regardless of gender, will compete in the “Dive well Pool” and will start from the bulkhead, without blocks.
5. On Monday, July 8th we anticipate running all prelims heats in the Championship pool only.
NOTE: Other adjustments to this format may be made after entries are received, based on GAC equipment constraints and session timelines.
DAY 1 AFTERNOON SESSION
1. There is an afternoon session on DAY 1 ONLY for 8&U and 6&U events.
2. Swimmers who qualify for finals in P/F events OR are part of an Open Championship
free relay team will also swim in the evening session on Day 1.
IMPORTANT NOTE: 8&Us compete in the same morning/evening sessions as other age groups
on Day 2 and Day 3.
Also note, swimmers 6&U may be entered in the 8&U Championship P/F events, however there are NO 6&U events on Day 2 or Day 3.
