Our East Ridge Raptors arrived at the U of M Aquatic center ready to race for the Maroon and Gold Invite and attempt a three-peat on Saturday. 19 swimmers achieved either season or lifetime bests across 33 different races. The Raptors won the swimming portion of the meet but took an extremely close second place overall. Up next, the Raptors face the undefeated Woodbury Royals at Oltman Middle School on Wednesday at 6pm. We hope to see you there as this meet could determine who is in the driver's seat...
Our East Ridge Raptors continue to roll, beating out the Park High School Wolfpack by a score of 91 to 87. Lead by captains Neil Abrahamson and Vincent Xiong, the Raptors swept the relays in dramatic fashion with many Raptors logging either season best times and scores, or personal bests. The East Ridge Raptors Boys Swim & Dive team had a strong start to the season with a commanding win over the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders, 91 to 74. Exceptional performances by Raptors Senior Captains Neil Abrahamson, Poyraz Olgun and Vincent Xiong set the tone early and the rest of the team pushed themselves extra hard to win all 12 JV and Varsity events. The East Ridge Swim and Dive team took a very close second place in the 3AA Sections meet this weekend. The Raptors took the gold in 7 of the 12 events and capped off the meet by breaking the 400 Free Relay Section Record by over a second. Congratulations to our state qualifiers: Neil Abrahamson, Jacob Eastman, Morgan Gillard, Aidynn Havermann, Nathan Langstraat, Poyraz Olgun and Vincent Xiong as they represent East Ridge at the State meet this Friday and Saturday! The East Ridge Swim and Dive JV team completed their fantastic season on Saturday by taking second place in the JV conference meet. The team was lead by Captain Tolkien Perry who won the 100 Free. Next up, the Raptors Varsity team travels to the Sections Prelim meet on Wednesday February 22nd at 6pm at the Bluewater Aquatic Center in Apple Valley. Go Raptors!
The East Ridge Swim and Dive team completed their perfect dual meet season last night with a commanding defeat of Cretin-Derham Hall by a score of 104 to 81, capturing the SEC Conference Championship for the second year in a row. Next up, the Raptors host the 2023 JV Conference Championship on Saturday February 18th at noon, and travel to Bluewater Aquatic Center for Sections Prelims on Wednesday February 22nd at 6pm. The East Ridge Swim and Dive team extended their perfect dual meet season last night by toppling the Forest Lake Rangers by a score of 101 to 73. Honoring our graduating seniors, the Raptors broke the East Ridge 200 free relay school record set back in 2013 by cruising to the second fastest time registered in the state of Minnesota this season. All in a day’s work. Next up, the Raptors land in White Bear Lake Next Thursday night. Go Raptors!!
The East Ridge Swim and Dive team keep their perfect dual meet season streak alive by toppling the Irondale Knights with a score of 97 to 85. Our Raptors collectively swept all of the relays, winning 23 of 24 events in commanding fashion. Next up, our final home meet of the season tomorrow night at 6pm against Forest Lake.
