Important Dates

• 1/22/24 - ATHLETE MEETING: MON after school in room 418 Head Coach, Coach Sierra Buell will be able to answer any questions, in addition to talking about what to expect this season. (not Coach D'Arienzo's room - go to room 418 - see map) - athletes only* Returning + new athletes - please attend.
  • Swim suit try-on opportunity will be immediately following this meeting (likely at the RAC to access the bathrooms for changing).
  • Coach will review varsity and JV items
• 1/24/24 - PARENT MEETING: WED, 7:15pm in the WHS library: 
  • Preferred "Parent / guardians ONLY" meeting. Every athlete should have someone present at this meeting. 
  • We will be providing info about ordering suits and gear, volunteer opportunities, an overview of what to expect this season and be able to answer any questions you might have. 
  • This event is immediately following Pride of the Pack for incoming freshman (2024-5)
  • See School Map for directions to Library
• 2/5/24 - FIRST DAY OF SWIM PRACTICE: Monday at the RAC / pool. Athletes who are NOT in athletic PE (4th period) will practice from 3:45-5:30pm at the RAC. 
  • 2/5 at afterschool practice - will be the final opportunity to use the "try-on sample suit kit" for RyteSport team suits. Board Member, Andrea Carano will likely be near the locker rooms (in the front or back) with the suit kit for athletes to test difference sizes before ordering their team suit.
  • Athletic Clearance - get it done ASAP, uploaded, and cleared - or you CANNOT practice.
• There is no calendar posted yet (1/16/2024). Coaches and our board are working hard to get this finalized.

Other Info

• Welcome to our new coaches, Head Coach Sierra Buell and JV Coach Kelli Leffel (familiar faces on our pool deck and in new roles and we're so happy).
• Team Swim Suit and Towel orders are now open under the "GEAR" tab. Swag / clothing / hats options coming soon.
• Divers @ Oakmont HS - TBD* - please connect with Javier S for more information about parent orientation and first practice, but we will share once we're privvy to that information. 
• Athlete registration:  All NEW + RETURNING students interested in swim & dive must fill out this form. 
• SportsYou App: Parents AND athletes - download the app and then connect with the team parents for the code (we can't post here for privacy reasons). Updates will be posted here, volunteer opportunities, etc so you're connected.
• Once practices begin, expect coach updates from team parents on Sunday evening or Monday.
