Course: Outdoor, heated 16-Lane Competition Pool; Colorado Starting, Timing, and Full-Color Scoreboard will be used. 


FRIDAY Trials: Warm-ups: 1030am • Scratches Due + Coaches Mtg: 11:15am • Meet Starts: 12pm (830am open) 

SATURDAY Finals: Warm-ups: 830am • Scratches Due + Coaches Mtg: 915am • Meet Starts: 10am (7am open)

Championship Details

  1. Trials on Friday • Finals on Saturday
  2. USA Swimming Observed Event (Swimmers can request to have their times submitted to the USA Swimming Database)
  3. One set of Standards, no FS divisions. All "One Open Division," split by gender.
  4. Swimmers may enter "three relays" and "one individual" event OR "two relays" and "two individual" events. There is no limit on the number of swimmers a team enters in each "Individual" event.
  5. All schools may enter TWO relays per relay event into the meet.
  6. TJ (see above for contact info) will send out the HYTEK file as soon as possible.

Standards + Awards

  • Team awards for 1st place in the Women and Men Divisions
  • "Top 24" swimmers and "top 16" relays in trials qualify for finals providing swimmers with the opportunity for more swims and the experience of swimming in finals. Only A and B finals will be scored as noted below.
  • "Top 3" Team Awards for Women and Men

Rules

  • This meet will be governed by a combination of USA Swimming and CIF rules.
  • All events are short course yards and timed finals.
  • Swimmers are responsible for reporting to the clerk or blocks when the event is called.
  • Failure to report will scratch the swimmer or relay from their event.
  • Swimmers may swim in a maximum of 2 individual events and 2 relay events per day.
  • Teams may enter a maximum of 2 relays per event.
  • Warm-up pool area: All athletes and coaches understand and agree to three-point entry to the pool (no diving nor jumping into the pool)

Events and Scoring

● Friday – Trials

  • Warm-ups at 10:30am
  • Scratch due by 11:15am
  • Meet starts at 12pm / noon
  • After Trials, COACHES please SCRATCH before leaving on FRIDAY, if not swimming at the Finals on SATURDAY.

● Saturday – Finals – "Top 24 Individuals" and "Top 16 Relays" per event - make finals

  • Warm ups at 8:30am
  • Scratch due by 9:15am
  • Meet starts at 10am


Minimum Official Rules

  • All certified Officials with current USA Swimming registration from any LSC are welcome to work this meet.
  • All working Officials are expected to display while officiating the meet, their current USA Swimming membership/certification card with a valid Criminal Background and Athlete Protection Training expiration date on it.
  • Officials' dress code will be white polo shirts, navy blue pants/shorts/skirts, white socks, and white shoes.
  • For wet or cold conditions, boots and parkas will be allowed.

Parking, Gate Fee, Seating, and Restrictions / Warnings

Parking:

  • Allow time to find parking - school will be in session on Friday. WHS Student lot is okay on Saturday only.
  • DO NOT park in staff parking or in the main school lot on Friday OR areas roped off for volunteers + officials.
  • Additional Parking is available at the Roseville Sports Center Martha Riley Library (north of the RAC - see the map in Satellite view and you can see a trail behind the library OR you can simply come down Woodcreek Oaks Blvd). The trails behind the library are NOT wheelchair friendly and there are some parts that are uneven ground - please take Woodcreek Oaks Blvd for your safety.
  • NO overnight parking at the R.A.C.

Admission: 

  • Enter the R.A.C. from the Woodcreek Oaks side at the parking lot
  • General Admission $8; 65+ $5; "Six and Under" are free. No passes are allowed for this event. 
  • Download the MeetMobile app to follow along for results and events (and your favorite players). 
  • Cash and Venmo will be accepted (thank you for marking your venmo for "WHS invite entry")

Seating:

  • Spectators: We do have stadium seating to the south part of the complex that's partially covered
  • Athletes and coaches: there will be room for team EZ-Ups and athletes' chairs
  • PAY ATTN: cones and barriers to keep areas to only athletes, timers, and officials - thank you for understanding

Food + refreshments:

  1. There will be a lunch and hospitality for all officials and coaches
  2. Food Trucks will be on-site for both days.
  3. Evening / overnight folks - dinner options locally: We do have a lot more dining now up off Blue Oaks and Woodcreek (It's not showing up on all maps - since it's so new: Nugget market - MOD pizza, Jamba Juice, etc); along with restaurants off Foothills and Pleasant Grove. Starbucks at the corner of Woodcreek Oaks + Pleasant Grove.

Restrictions:

  • EZ-UPs can stay BUT only if they're anchored to the ground with weights or buckets of water - no exceptions.
  • If we have high winds - you may be asked to collapse your tent.
  • No propane heaters
  • No tobacco products nor alcoholic beverages
  • No overnight parking at the RAC (City of Roseville facility)
  • No glass containers
  • No pets in the pool area, except service animals
  • NO TARPS are allowed on the grass area

  • All other items need to be removed from the grass areas at the conclusion of each day’s competition (EZ Ups can stay up if they are fastened to the ground, but all ground covers must be off the grass).* pending winds and City of Roseville's staff comment.

  • Excessive rainy weather may create modification to grass-area access.

  • Bring everything you need to secure your belongings during the day and overnight, we will not have security.

  • NO PHOTOS behind the blocks.

SANCTION: Held under USA Swimming / Sierra Nevada Swimming Sanction Number: According to 202.4.10, “In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event.”
According to 202.4.10D, “Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming Member-Coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water without the use of the backstroke ledge. When unaccompanied by a Member-Coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.”

Woodcreek Aquatics is excited to host the Nor Cal Swim Championships at the Roseville Aquatics Complex (RAC). The meet will provide top-notch competition in a fast pool providing the swimmers the opportunity to gain experience swimming at a Trials/Finals swim meet between Northern California teams. We offer you the opportunity to come to a well-run swim meet at a great facility.
