INVITATIONAL AND CHAMPIONSHIP MEETS
INVITATIONAL MEETS
-
Invitational meets are open to many different teams (as compared to a dual meet where only 2 teams compete against each other).
-
We ask that you declare your attendance for invitational meets on the L-S Otters Team Unify website no later than 10 days before the meet. You will need to log in to the system to access the attendance declaration options on the events calendar. This is a very important process as it allows our coaches time to adequately prepare a meet line-up.
-
There is an additional cost (usually $4 or $5 per event) to swim in invitational meets.
-
Invitational meets will have an admission fee for spectators.
CHAMPIONSHIP MEETS
-

-
DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
-
All swimmers are encouraged to participate in the Divisional Championship Meet. There are no time standards to qualify for this swim meet.

Score is kept throughout the meet and a Division Champion will be crowned at the end of the meet.
-
This meet is generally split into two sessions: a morning session for the 12U, 14U, and OPEN age groups; and an afternoon session for the 8U and 10U age groups.

Bleachers are typically provided poolside for spectators to sit while their swimmer is in the pool however, lawn chairs and tents/umbrellas are encouraged for the downtime between events.

Each team is allowed to enter one relay team per event.
