OVERVIEW

  • L-S Otters Swim Team is a team within the Lancaster Summer Swim League (LSSL).

  • Registration is open to any swimmer, ages 5 to 18 (as of June 1)

  • Swimmers must be able to swim one complete length of the pool without aides.

  • The swimming season consists of three main areas: 

    • Practices

    • Dual Meets

    • Invitational & Championship Swim Meets

  • In order for the season to succeed, parents are asked to volunteer at dual meets as well as invitational/championship meets. 

    • All volunteer sign-up lists can be accessed on the L-S Otters Team Unify website. 

    • Many positions require no training or experience. 

    • There are over 200 positions that need to be filled over the summer season, so every family must volunteer! 

  • The three primary ways in which the team communicates information are:

    • Weekly email updates from the L-S Otters Board

    • Remind notification app
