The Landen Stingrays are a summer swim team open to all children ages 5 to 18.  Every swimmer on the "full team" must be 5 years old by June 1, 2025, and be able to swim 1 length of the pool (25 meters) without assistance, without hanging onto the lane lines, and without touching the bottom.  We do have a Mini Stingray program for younger swimmers, who are unable to swim a lap unassisted. Our Minis need to be 4 years old by June 1, 2025.

The team is open to anyone but we manage our registration in the following order: Returning Swimmers (first dates), New Woodfield swimmers (second dates), and then New Familes (second dates).  We limit the number of swimmers in order to give these children a safe environment, productive coaching, and a positive experience swimming on a team.  

Our home pool is the Woodfield subdivision pool at 8873 Creekwood Lane. All home swim meets as well as all practices are held at this pool. The Stingrays swim against other members of the Tri-County Swim League.  

Practices are held every weekday morning (Monday through Friday).  Practices are not mandatory, but swimmers will improve according to the number of practices they attend.  Meets are generally held on Tuesday or Thursday evenings through June and July.  The season builds to an exciting conclusion as swimmers compete in the Tri-County Swim League Championships held annually in July.  

Parent Meet Work is required by all families of children on the full team. Each family of a full team swimmer will be required to sign up for a committe and has an obligation to work the set parameters of that Committees function. Committees, and the requirements of each, will be sent out for your selection after registration. Failure to complete the required meet work will result in a loss of priority registration for your family the next season.
