Meet Sign-Ups
It is extremely important for our Coaches and meet coordinators to know whether a swimmer is available for a meet. Please make sure to indicate your swimmer's availability by following these steps:
- Click on the Events tab on the team website.
- Navigate to "Team Events"
- Select the meet you are interested in, and
- Click the red "Edit Commitment" button to indicate your swimmer’s availability. If you do not see this option, check back later as the meet is unavailable for entries yet.

- To view available volunteer opportunities for the event, click the green "Job Signup" button. Please note that the signup link will become active a few days before the event date, check back later if job signup is unavailable.

- To declare participation in the event, simply click on each member's name.
- To select a commitment status, click on the declaration drop-down menu and choose from the available options. After making your selection, be sure to click on Save to confirm your choice.
- If this is a B meet (Wednesday evening meet), a list of events will appear after you selected ATTENDING. Check which events you would like to enter for each athlete. For an A Meet, you will simply select ATTENDING and the coaches will choose the events.
- Click the Save button to save your selections. Remember, if your swimmer's availability changes, make sure to let the Head Coach or Assistant Head Coach know right way so changes can be made to the lineup.
- Limits to number of events that can be swam by an individual swimmer in a swim week (Saturday through Friday) can be found in the MCSL Handbook.
Per the MCSL handbook (page 54):
Meet entries–number of events per swimmer.
i. A team may enter a swimmer in a maximum of five events. A team cannot enter a swimmer in all four individual stroke events (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly).
Example 1: If a swimmer is entered in the open Medley Relay, the Freestyle Relay and the Individual Medley, that swimmer can swim only two individual stroke events.
Example 2: If a swimmer is entered in either the open Medley Relay OR the Freestyle Relay (but not both relays), that swimmer may swim the Individual Medley and three individual stroke events.
ii. If a team enters a swimmer in all four individual stroke events, the swimmer cannot swim the butterfly event. The entry in the butterfly event is treated as an empty lane.
iii. If a team enters a swimmer in two age groups, the swimmer shall swim in his or her correct age group. Each entry in the older age group is treated as an empty lane.
