MEET FORMAT:
Starting Times & Meet Length
WEDNESDAY Evenings: 6 PM to 8:30 PM (NO ENTRY INTO AQUATIC CENTER PRIOR TO 5 PM)
SATURDAY Mornings: 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM (Must vacate pool by 11:45 AM)
Warm-up Times: MCST VISITORS
WEDNESDAYS 5 PM - 5:25 PM 5:30 PM - 5:55 PM
SATURDAYS 7:30 AM - 7:55 AM 8:00 AM - 8:25 AM
Entries: Our Meets are run with HY-TEK Meet Manager
An Event File will be E-mailed to your Computer Contact. Entries should be E-mailed to our Computer Team Contact Person, Nikki Francisco & Megan Leonard, 48 Hours prior to the Meet. (No later than Monday 8 PM for Wednesday PM Meet; no later than Thursday 8 PM for a Saturday AM Meet.). Results of the meet will be e-mailed to your team computer contact.

50 Free (15-18) 1 heat female & 1 heat male
Medley relay* 1 heat (male & female in 1 combined heat per age group)
I.M.* 1 heat (male & female in 1 combined heat per age group)
Freestyle 4 heats
Breaststroke 2 heats
Butterfly 2 heats
Backstroke 3 heats
Free relay* 1 heat (male & female in 1 combined heat per age group)
*Wednesday PM Meets- No Free Relays
*Teams are allowed up to 4 teams for the relays and up to 4 swimmers for IM, split in any combination of boys and girls.
Entries: On Saturdays swimmers are limited to 3 individual events and two relay events. On Wednesdays swimmers will be limited to 2 individual events and 1 relay. All swimmers must be able to swim across the pool unaccompanied by a coach.
Seeding: Fastest swimmers are placed in the first heat. Heats that are combined by age group are scored separately by gender.
Lane Assignments:
MCST: Lanes 2, 4, 6, 8 VISITORS: Lanes 1, 3, 5, 7
Scoring: ALL HEATS OF EACH EVENT WILL COUNT FOR SCORING
Individual Scoring: 1st = 5 pts 2nd = 3 pts 3rd = 1 pt
Relays: 1st = 6 pts 2nd = 3 pts No Sweeps
Ribbons:
Individual Events will be awarded ribbons for 1st through 8th Place for 10 & unders
Relay Events will be awarded ribbons for 1st and 2nd Place.
Heat Winner ribbons will be awarded for events for swimmers up to age 12.
VISITING TEAM WORK REQUIREMENT:
- 2 Stroke & Turn Judges (at all times)
- 12 Timers (All odd lanes. TIMERS MUST BE 15 OR OLDER)
- 1-2 Ribbon labelers
- Shepherds for your own team
All timers & recorders for both teams are required to mute electronic communication devices during the meet, AND NO CELL PHONES OR CAMERAS ARE PERMITTED BEHIND THE BLOCK.
VISITING TEAM SET-UP AREA:
Visiting teams may set up along the north and east fence, from the area of the shallow entry steps to the diving board. Please refer to the picture below. Due to the frequency of high winds, pop-ups and tents MUST be anchored or tethered.
THE SHALLOW ENTRY STEPS, PLAY POOL, AND DIVING WELL ARE OFF LIMITS DURING THE MEET
INSURANCE REQUIREMENT: From each visiting team, the City of Martinez requires copies of a Certificate of Insurance as well as the accompanying Endorsement of Insurance naming the City of Martinez, 525 Henrietta St. Martinez CA 94553, (Owner/Lessor of Premises) two weeks prior to the meet. Please email to the team President.
SNACK BAR: The Otter Cafe offers a variety of hot & cold meal & drink options, as well as the usual assortment of goodies. We accept cash and credit cards.
PARKING: PLEASE OBEY THE NO PARKING SIGNS AND RED ZONES. DO NOT BLOCK RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAYS. THE MARTINEZ POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE PATROLLING THE AREA AND TICKETING AND TOWING VEHICLES.
