Code of Conduct

The Wildcat Ridge Tigersharks Swim Team is made up of swimmers, coaches and parents working together. The success of our program requires a significant commitment from EVERYBODY! We ask that you carefully consider the time and participation commitments before registering your swimmer(s) for this team. Our team is run by parent volunteers without whom there can be no team!

We, the proud parents/guardians of our Wildcat Ridge Swimmer(s), promise to:

  • Volunteer requirement: work: (Number of shifts to be determined yearly based on needs and swimmer enorllment) ___regular season shifts,  (number to be determined yearly) ___post-season shifts (prelims &/or championships), and (number to be determined yearly) ___committee shifts.  We will indicate our shift and committee preferences during the volunteer sign up process online. If we fail to sign up for volunteer shifts and committees during the volunteer sign up process, our swimmer(s) will not be allowed to participate in activities (including practices and meets), and we may forfeit our spot on the team if there is a waitlist for other swimmer(s) in the same age category. We understand that the Volunteer Coordinator will put out the schedules prior to the season and that WE are responsible for finding a replacement in the event that we cannot fulfill our assigned duties. We understand that it is our responsibility to check in with a team Volunteer Coordinator prior to our volunteer shift.  *Please note: the number of shifts required may be modified after registration closes when the total number of swimmer families is determined.

  • We understand that our credit card on file will be automatically charged $100 per missed volunteer shift.

  • Support and encourage my swimmer(s) and the team in a positive and constructive manner.

  • Make sure that my swimmer(s) arrive on time to all practices and swim meets.

  • Inform the coaching staff as soon as possible regarding any predictable absences from practices, and no later than Tuesday for weekend meets.

  • Leave the coaching to the coaches.

  •  Provide adult supervision for swimmer(s) under 18 years old on the hot tub deck if using the Wildcat hot tub after practices (per Wildcat Ridge pool rules).
