SWIMMERS . . . TAKE YOUR MARK . . .

The Seminole Sharks Swim & Dive Team is a recreational team in  the  Madison’s All-City Swim & Dive League.  Swimmers and divers of all ages and abilities are welcomed to join our team.

Summer swimming is great fun for several reasons:

  • One family – one team.  Siblings can support & cheer each other on!
  • Team includes kids ranging from Kindergarten to recent High School graduates.
  • Interactions and friendships with kids of different ages through a buddy system.
  • Everyone swims!  No swim team experience required.
  • Great recreational exercise.
  • Fun team social activities throughout the summer.
  • Experienced, paid coaching staff.
  • One more reason to hang out at the pool!

The summer swim & dive season consists of seven dual meets and culminates in All-City one of the largest outdoor swim and dive meets in the country.  Participants compete against athletes their own age, boys and girls separately. The age groups are 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & Up. The age group that the swimmer competes in is based on their age on June 1.

The athletes are divided into age specific practice groups and have daily practices with our outstanding coaches. Our goal is to encourage all athletes to do their best by maintaining a positive environment that develops skills, friendships, and a love for physical fitness.  Practices are weekday mornings and team members are encouraged to attend at least three (3) practices per week.

Dive meets are held on Friday nights and swim meets are on Saturday mornings.  Meets are not mandatory, but you must compete in at least three (3) dual meets to participate in the All-City meet at the end of the season.  Athletes are encouraged to attend as many meets and practices as they can, but all levels of participation are well received.  Doing both swim and dive team is certainly encouraged.

Last year was another great season culminating with the All-City meet.  In addition to working hard, we're big on fun. There is a kick-off pizza party, the team trip to Noah's Ark, and the tie-dye party, and much more. The Seminole Sharks team had about 250 swimmers and 20 divers. Sign up and join the fun!
