2024 Coaching Staff

Andrew Barashkoff, Head Coach

I am excited to be coaching at Newport Hills this summer, it was my home away from home my entire childhood. I grew up participating on the Newport Hills summer league since I was seven years old until I graduated in 2016. Since then, I have taken my love for swimming and devoted it to coaching. I have coached a total of nine summer league seasons, eight at Newport Hills and one at Maple hills. Also, I have coached two seasons of high school swimming at Redmond High. Most recently, I have coached club swimming at Chinook and EAST. My main goal of coaching is to provide each swimmer with the fundamentals of swimming by focusing on technique and building confidence in each swimmer regardless of ability. Also, to help swimmers develop their passion for the sport of swimming. Excited to be back, GO SHARKS!

Andrew Luu

Hello! My name is Andrew and I am currently a student at the University of Washington Seattle. I've spent the past year here as a Coach for the NHSTC Swim Team. Swimming has always been a huge passion of mine and something that I hope to instill into younger swimmers. It's important for swimmers to build good habits and technique from a young age. This not only applies to swimming but later on in their lives as well. I enjoy working with children of all ages and helping them develop their skills. Please contact me for availability. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Caroline Claudson

Hi! I’m Caroline and I am currently a student at Chapman University. I am so excited to be returning to coaching for NHSTC this year! I grew up on this team and at this club and I can’t wait to be there again this summer. I began swimming on this team when I was six years old and began teaching at the club around three years ago. I have loved swimming my entire life and I am thrilled for this upcoming season! GO SHARKS :)

Griffin Dickman

Hey! My name is Griffin and I just graduated from Hazen High School.  I have been swimming my whole life and it has always been one of my favorite things to do. My swimming career started at Newport Hills when I was 6 years old. I have swam at all levels, summer league, high school, and at the club level. I have been fortunate enough to be able to swim all across the west coast - meeting new people and growing my love for the sport.
I am extremely excited to be a coach this summer and take on a new perspective for swimming. As a coach it is my goal to not only develop each swimmer's confidence and skills as an athlete but to make sure that they love being in the water each and every day. GO SHARKS!

Molly Claudson
