Parent Participation is Vital to Our Success

Swim teams are unique because of the many volunteers needed to run a meet, as well as the many other social activities during the season.  A brief description of each job is noted below. Additionally, we have included Job Sign Ups on this website to help families check off the job they can help with for our swim events.

In the Events tab, under each meet/activity there is a Sign Up button. There you can check off the appropriate job. The expectation is that each family will volunteer, especially during our swim meets, and also volunteer and help out with the many other activities. Getting involved benefits all members of our swim team and helps to keep things running smoothly.

Please take time to review the different jobs listed below to find ways you and your family can help out.

Team Jobs During Swim Season

Team Jobs are vital to the success of our Swim Team.  Every parent should volunteer for at least one job during swim meets as well as other social events.  As you can see, there’s something for everyone, even parents with young swimmers!  Parents who do not sign up for a job will be assigned one. Team jobs come in two types – non-deck jobs needed to run the team and deck jobs required by the MCSL for running the meets.

Deck Jobs

These jobs come in two categories, those that are “certified” by MCSL and those not requiring MCSL certification or training.  To become certified you must attend of the league’s training sessions, and must recertify every two years. For more details, please visit, www.mcsl.org and click on the “Officials Certification” link.

Certified Deck Jobs

Non Certified Deck Jobs

If you are unable to serve at a meet for which you have signed up, we ask that you secure a replacement. This is vital to ensure our meets run properly. Someone will help you if you have any questions about a particular job so no experience is necessary!
