Welcome to the 2022 Swim Season!

We have many exciting things to share with you to get our season started!

Registration:  Registration is OPEN on Team Unify. Sign in to your account (or create one if you are a new family), then click  start registration . The site was upgraded, so things will look different for returning members. Registration is located near the bottom - lower right, blue box. It will walk you through registration step by step. When registering, you will also be purchasing AAU Swim Insurance for your swimmer(s) and assessed a concessions fee. These are all steps included in the process. Early Bird Registration ($115) is open thru May 14th. On the 15th it switches to Regular Registration Fees ($135).

First Practice:  Practices will begin after school on Thursday, June 2nd. Practice times are listed on the website.

PreTeam:  Preteam is back! This is a great way to help our swimmers who are new to swim team transition from lessons to more independence and the swim team environment. Due to the need for more assistance, Preteam swimmers will conduct a swim evaluation with the coaching staff, but will not start practicing with the team until June 20th. Jr Coaches along with the coaching staff will then work with the swimmers at morning practices to get them ready to swim in a meet! As swimmers demonstrate that they are ready, they will be entered into swim meets, and exit the preteam program. The goal is to get every preteamer across the pool by the last dual meet, July 23 (if not before!)

New Swimmer Evaluations:  The coaching staff will be holding New Swimmer Evaluations on Tuesday, May 31st after school. This evaluation will be used to determine if a swimmer is able to join preteam, full team, or may not be ready yet. New swimmers will be asked ot enter the water unassisted, tread water for 10 seconds and swim about 15 meters. If a swimmer is able to do this easily, the coaching staff may ask them to demonstrate their skill in other strokes as well, as time allows. Watch for a Sign Up Genius to come out in the next team email.

Team Suits:   We will have a new team suit this year! Sport Fair will be at the Swim Club Spring Fair on Saturday, May 21 from 10 - 3 conducting fittings. You may come during this time to try on and purchase a new suit. They will also be at an evening practice in early June if you can not swing by on the 21st. Swimmers are not required to purchase a team suit, and are welcome to wear their old Marlin suit or ANY blue or black race-type suit in meets. Team suits are great for unity and teambuilding, are good quality and help coaches identify swimmers quickly at meets, but not required. Sport Fair will also have goggles and other equipment on hand for purchasing as well.

Apparel:  The Marlin Apparel store is OPEN! Swimmers and family members can purchase t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, sweatpants and more! The store will be open for early bird purchasing thru May 14th. And items will be ready at the start of the season. The store will open again later in May with items ready by Time Trials. Check out the classic Marlin apparel as well as some NEW options! Click the below link to access the store.
