Assume that practice is on as usual, unless you hear otherwise. You will be notified of changes via email from Team Unify. When possible, posts are also made on the Marlin Team Facebook page. If practice occurs during normal pool hours, the coaching staff will follow the directions from the guard staff. Practices outside of pool hours, the coaching staff will make the decision. Due to the uncertain nature of weather events, practice decisions are often made at the last minute. Please check your email before heading to the pool.

When thunder is heard or lightning present, the pool must be closed for thirty minutes. Hard rain can also cause a pool closure. In the event that these weather conditions persist, the reminder of that practice is generally canceled. If the weather is cold or there is light rain, practice will still occur. The coaching staff uses their discretion and may include more dryland activities in these situations.

Please remain alert and aware of weather conditions. Parents of 8 and Unders, please remain in the pool area, so that in the event of a closing, you are there for your child. Parents of older children, please be mindful of weather conditions, especially if your child is walking, riding a bike or driving. The coaching staff is not comfortable sending them home alone via these modes of transportation in dangerous weather.
