This is the weather we have been all waiting for! Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day!

Jobs for the 2025 season are ready to be released. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 13th, 7pm. Jobs will be live on the Huntington Barracudas website.

Few fun things to consider:

Each Barracudas family will be required to complete 5 jobs this season. We reviewed the number of families registered and jobs we need. Please keep in mind the 5 jobs count per family does not include jobs for boy/girl invites, 8U meet, high school invite, classic and city. Those meets will all be additional jobs if your swimmer is participating in those meets.
Each family can only sign up for a maximum 1 social job per family. Social jobs include: picture day helper, tie-dye helpers, city breakfast, etc. During job sign up, if you sign up for more than 1 social job, we will remove your sign up leaving one. In an effort to provide fairness to all, please only sign up for 5 jobs.
If you sign up for more than 5 jobs, those additional jobs will be deleted leaving your total sign up for 5. Please do not sign up for additional jobs holding them for other families.
Be sure to review the job descriptions on the Huntington Barracudas website located under Jobs > Jobs Descriptions. You can also view it here. We have made changes to some of the jobs descriptions and the number of volunteers we need for each for the 2025 season.
For non meet jobs (ribbons, bag tags, and trophies) those jobs are filled for the 2025 season. We have reached out to the 2024 families that took on these roles last year and all have accepted to do this again. Thank you!
Last call on being an Official. There are still 2 training sessions left provided by the conference and our team can really use 1-2 more. This will count for your job requirements for the summer. Please reach out if interested.

Job Sign-Up Instruction (starting 7pm May 13th):

From our home page (www.huntingtonbarracudas.org), select Swim Meet Sign-Up (button on home page). Be sure you are logged in.
The event could be a swim meet, a social event, or in the generic event called “Additional Jobs”.
Find an upcoming meet (be sure your child plans on swimming at the selected meet) and click “Job Signup.”
Click the checkbox by the job you will work. Pay special attention to the descriptions for each job to make sure you are signing up correctly.
Click “Signup”
In the pop up box it will ask for your volunteer’s information. Please list your full name and phone number.
Your name will then appear in the bold in the job slot.
If you accidentally sign up for the wrong job, or later discover you can’t work a job, select the job and click “Remove Signup.”

Please complete sign up for your jobs for the season before June 6.

Job Fines

There was a recent survey by the swim conference that the board completed. Barracudas is the only team in the entire conference that does not have a fine in place for missed jobs for families. We would love to keep this going and ask everyone for their support in doing their share.

Teenagers Workers List

We are gathering a list of teenagers who are willing to work swim meets. Barracudas families can hire these workers to complete their jobs. The hiring family pays the worker fee and are responsible for the worker to be at the meet and fulfill the entire job. Bullpen/Clerk of Course is not an available job you can hire a teenage worker. If you have a teenager willing to work swim meets, please complete this form.
