June 2 New Start Date
We are delaying the start of the modified practice schedule to now begin on Monday, June 2 with full practices to begin still as scheduled on Tuesday, June 3. The pool is not officially opened yet and we will kick off the season on Monday, June 2. As a reminder, here is the practice schedule:
Monday, June 2 (9 and up only)
8:00am - 9:00am 13 & older
9:00am - 10:00am 11 - 12
10:00am - 11:00am 9 -10
Tuesday, June 3 (all ages begin)
7:00am - 8:00am 13 & older
8:00am - 9:00am 11-12
9:00am - 9:45am 9-10
9:45am - 10:30am 7-8
10:30am - 11:00am 6 & Under
Age groups are assigned by the age of your swimmer as of May 31, 2025. If your swimmer has a June & July birthday which might age up to another group, you are still considered the age as of May 31, 2025. We have been working through assigning all the age groups for the season.
Remind Code
If you haven’t already, please be sure to download the Remind app. Here are the app links again:
We are using the same code as last season but if you are new to the team, once you have set up your Remind app profile, the class code is @ka84g9c
This app will be our way of delivering messages throughout the season if there are any delays/cancellations in practices or meets. We will also communicate through email and social media but this will be the first method of quick communication to all families when needed.
Swim Meet Email Reminders
Did you receive an email yesterday, [Event Deadline Approaching]? This is a reminder email that is sent 1 week prior to sign up deadlines for swim meets. Already declared your swimmer, great! If you haven’t yet, please take a moment prior to May 31st to either accept or decline your swimmer for time trials. The email reminders are also a great opportunity to check your event to confirm if you declared your swimmer or not.
Job Signup
Thank you for everyone signing up for jobs. If you haven’t started, please start reviewing meets and signing up for jobs. Please also check that your swimmer is declared to swim at that meet as well. We will start reaching out families after time trials that we don’t see are signed up for jobs yet to check in.
Junior Coaches
There is still time if you have someone interested in being a junior coach. Junior coaching is open to any swimmers who are going into 8th grade in the fall of 2025 or older. All new and returning junior coaches please fill out this google form. This will be closed out on Tuesday.
Teenagers Workers List
We are still gathering a list of teenagers who are willing to work swim meets. Barracudas families can hire these workers to complete their jobs. The hiring family pays the worker fee and are responsible for the worker to be at the meet and fulfill the entire job. Bullpen/Clerk of Course is not an available job you can hire a teenage worker. If you have a teenager willing to work swim meets, please complete this form.
