6/14 Meet @ Hobson West

Barracudas Presidents

Congratulations Barracudas on a great first dual meet against Brookdale! If there were any items left behind at meets (last night a pair of black goggles with clear lenses and a Barracudas tie-dye shirt) they will be on the Huntington pool lost and found table. Meet results are already posted from last night in the Sports Engine Motion app under Events & Jobs > Meet Results.

We will start combining meet emails into 1 weekly update starting next week. Here is all the meet information for our dual meet against Hobson West on Saturday, June 14:

Location / Address: Hobson West Pool/ 820 W Gartner Road; Naperville, IL 60540

Parking: Parking is available in the Hobson West parking lot or along neighborhood streets. Please do not park in the middle of Gartner and Shiloh between stop signs or you will be towed.

Gates Open: 7:30am

Positive Check-In Deadline: 7:45am

If you are running late, please phone a friend to check-in. Swimmers not checked in by 7:45am will be scratched

Warm-Up: 7:45am (starting age groups: 6 and under & 7-8s)

Meet Start: 8:30am

Concessions Available: Donuts, breakfast sandwich or burritos, muffins, bagels, coffee, and snacks. Cash, credit card, Venmo and Zelle will be accepted.

Jobs: We still need 1 more clerk of course/bullpen for this meet. If you have not signed up for 5 jobs for the season, consider adding this to your list. Please email us if you are able to help with this and we will add you to the sign up.

Pool Length: Hobson West is a 25m (meters) pool. The meet mobile results times will not be converted. The sports engine motion official results will be the converted times and will be available within a few days after the meet. Here is a link to their how Hobson West times are converted

Swim Meet Checklist:

Swimsuit, swim caps, goggles, towels, sunscreen/bug spray, dry clothes, shoes, tent/blanket, SHARPIES, and BARRACUDAS SUNSHINE.

Event Numbers

Events are finalized and can be viewed for Saturday. Make sure you have your swimmer’s events listed on their hands/arms or on paper before you leave the house. Relays can always change after positive check-in. We will have the blue clipboards again available with the event numbers for swimmers to check their events and write their numbers on their hand.
