Meet Commitments/Boy & Girls Invite/ HW Results
Timeline is always the same…evening meets gates open 4:30 pm, positive check-in closes 4:45pm, warm-ups begin 4:45pm, and meet starts at 5:30pm.
Morning meets gates open at 7:30am, positive check-in closes at 7:45am, warm-ups begin at 7:45am, and the meet starts at 8:30am.
For this Tuesday home meet, please make a poster for your Barracudas buddy (bring binder clips to attach to the tennis court fence) and their favorite candy!
Meet Commitments
Please take a moment today/tomorrow and look through every meet to make sure you have either accepted or declined your swimmers. We have updated the view on the Sports Engine Motion App for events (thank you superhero computer team Bill McKenna and Tom Cox) that the events are now all in chronological order in the Dual Meet category. Take a moment to click on each meet (including boy invite, girl invite, and 8U invite) and select commitment.
View if you submitted your swimmer’s commitment and if you have not submitted a response, select either yes, please or no, thanks. This is very helpful behind the scenes that we are not reaching out to you past the deadline and most importantly your swimmer is not missing a meet you planned on going to. Even if you are undeclared for a meet you will not attend if you can please select no, thanks.
You can also list anything in the note section for the coaches to consider for line ups. Examples: son is arriving late from baseball, only available to swim later events and free relay; only medley relay and freestyle swimmer needs to leave meet early, etc.
If any meets are past the deadline and you need to make a commitment, please let us know ASAP.
Boys/Girls Invite
June 26th are the boys and girls invitational meets. Saybrook will be hosting the boys invite and Huntington Estates will be hosting the girls. This is only for swimmers 7 and older. Unfortunately 6 and under cannot swim these meets. These meets compete against many other pools and are really fun! Please check your commitments if you plan on swimming these meets.

Hobson West Meet Results
For those who swam Saturday morning, the results are officially posted in Sports Engine Motion. Hobson West pool is a 25m (meter) pool and in order to view your converted yard time, please follow these steps:
Events & Jobs > Meet Results > Huntington @ HW
Find your swimmer event
Find their name in red which is highlighted in yellow and see their finish time in green
Click on their green finish time and you will see that the time toggles from S to L to Y. S is the short course meters time, L (if you are curious is long course meters), and Y is yards. You want to view the Yard time to see the converted meters to yard. FYI any 25 events will not have a L toggle time, just S & Y.
Also all swimmers with finish times from Saturday now have short course meters times under your swimmer’s best times (membership > best times). You can also toggle in this view to see the convered time from S (short course meters) > L (long course meters) > Y (short course yards)
If we totally lost you on this, find us Tuesday at the home meet and we can show you on your app.
Picture Day
We will send an email out when the picture gallery is posted on the photographer website. This is usually within 1-2 weeks after picture day.
Senior Celebration
Save the date! We will be celebrating our 6 Barracudas seniors at our home meet on Saturday, June 28 vs Naperville Tennis club!
