6/17 Home Meet vs River Run

Barracudas Presidents

First home dual meet of the season is Tuesday, June 17 vs River Run. We are excited to see all the bright neon colors fill our pool deck!

Location / Address: Best pool in all of Naperville Swim Conference ~ Huntington Barracudas Pool

Parking: Please do not park in our parking lot. We save these spots for our visiting team. You will need to park in the neighborhood behind the pool. You are welcome to drop off your swimmer at the walkway behind the pool then park your car.

Gates Open: 4:30pm

Positive Check-In Deadline: 4:45pm

If you are running late, please phone a friend to check-in. Swimmers not checked in by 4:45pm will be scratched

Warm-Up: 4:45pm (starting age groups: 6 and under & 7-8s)

Meet Start: 5:30pm

Concessions: Barracudas bistros will be bumpin’ Payment will be cash, venmo, or zelle. Nautical Bowls will also be present at the meet selling bowls as well. (Portion of proceeds will be donated back to Barracudas).

Spirit Sales: Barracudas swim caps, car magnets, jibbitz, and tie-dye shirts will be available for sale at concessions

Jobs: Check-in for jobs will be at the table by the baby pool.

Pool Length: Reminder we are a 20yd pool. If you are using meet mobile for live results, those times will not be converted. Official meet results will be available after the meet and those times will be converted to 25 yds

Spirit Theme NEON!!! Be sure to check in with the spirit table (after you check in with coaches) to enter into the spirit raffle

Barracudas Buddies: Please make a poster to cheer on your Barracudas buddy and bring their favorite candy. If you can please bring binder clips to help hang your poster on the tennis court fences.

Tent City Set Up: We will be sharing the grass area with the away team. Our team will set up on the Chicago Avenue side while the visiting team will set up on the neighborhood side. There will be white stands with a rope separating the 2 spaces. Snuggle your tent up with another Barracudas family so everyone has a spot.

Swim Meet Checklist: Swimsuit, swim caps, goggles, towels, sunscreen/bug spray, dry clothes, shoes, tent/blanket, sharpies, and BARRACUDAS NEON VIBES

Event Numbers: Events are finalized and can be viewed for Tuesday. Make sure you have your swimmer’s events listed on their hands/arms or on paper before you leave the house. Relays can always change after positive check-in. Blue clipboards will be available with the event numbers for swimmers to check their events and write their numbers on their hand.

Important Reminders

Unless you are a timer/back-up timer/official/runner or a coach, parents are not allowed behind the blocks, even during warm ups. This is for safety and there are plenty of viewing areas around our pool to watch your fantastic swimmer. Phones, videos and/or pictures are also not allowed behind the blocks. This is a USA Swimming Safe Sport rule. Please be mindful of this during our meets.
