Wow, last night's dual meet against River Run was absolutely fantastic! Neon colors everywhere, posters filled with fun messages, DJ was playing all the jams, and a lot of broken records! A huge Barracudas congratulations for the following broken records last night:

Girls 9-10 200 Yard Medley Relay Raegan LeFevour, Nora Brennan, Juliet Piszynski, and Victoria Murphy with a new pool and Barracudas record of 2:26:00. The previous Barracudas record was set in 1986!

Girls 9-10 50yd Breaststroke Nora Brennan new pool record of 39.84

Girls 9-10 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Juliet Piszynski, Raegan LeFevour, Victoria Murphy, and Nora Brennan new pool record of 2:12:96

Girls 13-14 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Jane Freeman, Kendall Lapinskas, Willa Rizzi, and Laney Lund new pool record of 1:51:30

Here we go for Thursday meet against Tall Grass Lightning:

Location / Address: Tall Grass Pool / 3324 Deering Bay Dr, Naperville, IL 60564

Parking: Ample parking is available in the clubhouse parking lot. Overflow parking is available on the east side of Deering Bay Drive.

Gates Open: 4:30pm

Positive Check-In Deadline: 4:45pm

If you are running late, please phone a friend to check-in. Swimmers not checked in by 4:45pm will be scratched

Warm-Up: 4:45pm (starting age groups: 6 and under & 7-8s)

Meet Start: 5:30pm

Concessions: Concessions including Andy’s ice cream and custom cookies (some with Huntington’s logo on it!) from Forked-Up Food. Mi Kozina food truck will also be at the meet. Cash or cards will be accepted.

Jobs: Check-in for jobs will be at 4:30pm - 5:00pm. Timer and Official meetings 5:10pm

Tall Grass is also having a Neon spirit theme for the meet Thursday and invited us to join in on the fun! Go throw all those neon pieces back in your swim bag to wear again Thursday!

Swim Meet Checklist: Swimsuit, swim caps, goggles, towels, sunscreen/bug spray, dry clothes, shoes, tent/blanket, sharpies, and BARRACUDAS REPEATING NEON VIBES

Event Numbers: Events are finalized and can be viewed for Thursday. Make sure you have your swimmer’s events listed on their hands/arms or on paper before you leave the house. Relays can always change after positive check-in. Blue clipboards will be available with the event numbers for swimmers to check their events and write their numbers on their hand.

Important Info for Jobs

Thank you all parents truly so much for signing up for jobs and helping during these meets. If you are hiring a worker to fulfill your job, please make sure you are confirming with your worker the date, location, and job they are working. Please also be mindful of the job check-in time. We will start listing job check in times in our meet emails. If your worker is not able to fill in at the last minute, you must find your own replacement. Workers cannot fulfill 2 jobs at the same meet (i.e they can't be a back up timer and a primary timer). Finally you cannot hire a worker for clerk of course/bullpen.

Can’t remember what job you signed up for? Log into your Sports Engine Motion App > Events & Jobs > Job Signup. Select people at the top of the screen (default is events) and you will see your name. This will pull up the list of all upcoming jobs and if you signed up for any of them. You also receive an email 2 days before each job reminding you of your job sign up, feel free to forward that email to your worker to help with check in.
