Barracudas! Are you ready to start dancing through life and swim your popular events this Tuesday against Huntington Estates?!?! Let’s do this!!!
Location / Address: Best pool in all of Naperville Swim Conference ~ Huntington Barracudas Pool
Parking: Please do not park in our parking lot. We save these spots for our visiting team. You will need to park in the neighborhood behind the pool. You are welcome to drop off your swimmer at the walkway behind the pool then park your car.
Gates Open: 4:30pm
Positive Check-In Deadline: 4:45pm
If you are running late, please phone a friend to check-in. Swimmers not checked in by 4:45pm will be scratched
Warm-Up: 4:45pm (starting age groups: 6 and under & 7-8s)
Meet Start: 5:30pm
Weather: Going to be a hot summer Barracudas lovin night! Bring cooling towels, fans, and lots of water.
Concessions: Barracudas bistros is where the party is at! We will have Little Pop’s pizza selling by the slice along with our amazing Cudas-tastic menu. Payment will be cash, venmo, or zelle. Nautical Bowls will also be present at the meet again selling bowls as well. (Portion of proceeds will be donated back to Barracudas.).
Spirit Sales: Barracudas swim caps, car magnets, jibbitz, and tie-dye shirts will be available for sale at concessions
Jobs: Check-in for jobs will be at the table by the baby pool.
Timers Meeting: 5:00pm
Pool Length: Reminder we are a small by mighty 20yd pool. If you are using meet mobile for live results, those times will not be converted. Official meet results will be available after the meet and those times will be converted to 25 yds
Spirit Theme WICKED! Wear pink or green and swim like you are defying gravity! Be sure to check in at the spirit table to be entered into the raffle.
Barracudas Buddies: Find out when your buddy swims, gather some friends, and cheer them on in their races! Feel free to make them a good luck card and bring their favorite candy.
Tent City Set Up: We will be sharing the grass area with the away team. Our team will set up on the Chicago Avenue side while the visiting team will set up on the neighborhood side.
Swim Meet Checklist: Swimsuit, swim caps, goggles, towels, sunscreen/bug spray, dry clothes, shoes, tent/blanket, sharpies, and WICKEDLY AWESOME BARRACUDAS VIBES
Event Numbers: Events are finalized and can be viewed for Tuesday. Make sure you have your swimmer’s events listed on their hands/arms or on paper before you leave the house. Relays can always change after positive check-in. Blue clipboards will be available with the event numbers for swimmers to check their events and write their numbers on their hand.

City/Classic Reminders:
6&U, they can only swim at Classic (July 19)
13+, they can only swim at City (weekend of July 25- 26). 13+ do not need qualifying times.
7-8, 9-10, 11-12: which meet they swim at (and which events) will be impacted by whether or not they have qualifying city times. You can view your swimmer’s best times in your Sports Engine Motion App > Membership > Best Times. Please note Huntington Time Trials do not count as a city qualifying time.
- Swimmers can only attend one of either Classic or City.
- If a swimmer has a qualifying time for City in an event, they cannot swim that event at Classic but could still swim other individual events.
- For the City meet, 7/8 & 9/10 Swim in the AM; 11/12 and 13/14 swim in the PM on July 26th.
- For the Classic meet, all age groups will swim in the PM session this year on July 19th.
- Your swimmer needs to have competed in at least 3 dual meets to be eligible for City. You do not need to achieve a city qualifying time 3 times, just have attended 3 dual meets (time trials do not count but dual meets & all invites (boy/girl/8U/high school) all count.
