We are entering our final week (for real this time) of the regular season before championship season. What an incredible season for all Barracudas and there is much to celebrate!

July 15th Make Up Meet

We will send the meet email for Tuesday’s meet against the beach tomorrow. But we need help on JOBS. We are asking all Barracudas families even if you have completed your 5 jobs of the season to pretty PLEASE with a cherry on top consider helping at this meet. We cannot run the meet without these spots filled. Needs are as follows:

Please review and sign up! Swim meets as you know takes a village and we need your help!

Also if you haven’t already, please accept/decline in sports engine for this meet as well. The deadline is today.

High School Invite

High School families, we need a timer for this meet. Please grab a few of your fellow friends that will be there as well and you can split up the shift. High school families - Someone please step up and do this.

Classic and City

Reminder, unless you are a board member, if you have a swimmer participating in classic and/or city, you are required to work a job. You cannot hire a worker for city or classic. This is a swim conference rule.

City Families - if you haven’t already, please refer to Arica LeFevour’s email that was sent to you on Thursday and sign up for a job. If you do not sign up for something this morning, we are going to assign one to you. 

Classic Families - if there are any changes between now and Classic for your assigned job, please be sure to reach out to Ashley Barra directly.

Mailboxes

All swimmers have a file folder mailbox that has been filled with ribbons, medals, and time drop tickets/bag tags. Please be sure your swimmer is checking their mailboxes all week to clear them out. All 8U invite participants received participant bag tags and a coupon coin which will be placed in the swimmer’s mailbox this week.

July 18 - Last Barracudas practice for swimmers attending Classic

July 19 - Naperville Classic Meet @ Neuqua Valley High School Classic Meet Packet

City/Classic Reminders:

6&U, they can only swim at Classic (July 19)

13+, they can only swim at City (weekend of July 25- 26). 13+ do not need qualifying times.

7-8, 9-10, 11-12: which meet they swim at (and which events) will be impacted by whether or not they have qualifying city times. You can view your swimmer’s best times in your Sports Engine Motion App > Membership > Best Times. Please note Huntington Time Trials do not count as a city qualifying time. 

 - Swimmers can only attend one of either Classic or City. 

- If a swimmer has a qualifying time for City in an event, they cannot swim that event at Classic but could still swim other individual events. 

- For the City meet, 7/8 & 9/10 Swim in the AM; 11/12 and 13/14 swim in the PM on July 26th. 

- For the Classic meet, all age groups will swim in the PM session this year on July 19th. 

- Your swimmer needs to have competed in at least 3 dual meets to be eligible for City. You do not need to achieve a city qualifying time 3 times, just have attended 3 dual meets (time trials do not count but dual meets & all invites (boy/girl/8U/high school) all count.
