Dear Swim Team Families,

What a change in the weather from this weekend to today! Wow. Hopefully you had time to enjoy the pool with your family this weekend. 

If you are attending Meadow’s Halloween meet on October 21, please keep reading for helpful meet information. 

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MEADOW’S 3RD ANNUAL HALLOWEEN MEET:

This meet is a fun first chance for all Fall swimmers working hard to race their first races in their next age/age group. Low key - no fuss since it isn't league sanctioned. Costumes are encouraged (between swims) because it's a Halloween meet after all.

 

Date: Saturday, October 21st, start time 9am, approximate end-time 1pm. Open warmup available to all teams, age groups 9+ from 8 - 8:45am. 

Meet format:

  • Swimmers race in their Summer 2024 age group

  • No relays 

  • Pool is 25 yards in length, 6 lanes

  • No award ribbons

SWIMMER/FAMILY PARKING:  As with many neighborhood swim clubs, Meadow does not have an ideal parking  environment. Meadow asks coaches, parents, and swimmers to respect their neighborhood and not park in front of fire hydrants or mailboxes (you will be towed). There are two main options for parking at Meadow: Parking on Valley and parking at Glorietta Elementary 

  • PARKING ON VALLEY: Please drive with caution and at a safe speed on Valley Drive. Everyone's cooperation is needed to ensure that the Valley flow of traffic does not endanger any person or property.  Furthermore, please be conscientious of where you park and take note of driveways, mailboxes and fire lanes. 

  • PARKING AT GLORIETTA ELEMENTARY: There is ample parking near Glorietta Elementary school. You can find a dirt path from Glorietta Elementary directly to Meadow’s parking lot. Please note that the path is not lit.

FUTURE DATES TO CALENDAR:

  • MVP Bottoms Up: June 30, 2024 *all-team volunteer requirement

  • OMPA: August 2-4, 2024 *all-team volunteer requirement
