Mini Marlins Program (Ages 3-6)
Program Overview
Mini Marlin Registration for the 2026 swim season opens February 2nd. To register, you must have a Team Unify account. The 2026 Mini Marlin season begins June 1st and concludes with our Mini Marlin Celebration on July 24th.
The Mini Marlins is a pre-competitive program for swimmers ages 3-6. Our primary goal is to create a fun, optimal learning environment for our youngest athletes. Please note: This is not a learn-to-swim program.
Mandatory Evaluation
All interested Mini Marlins must participate in the 8&Under Evaluation on March 1st to assess their readiness for the program.
This mandatory evaluation determines the swimmer's ability and comfort level in the water prior to enrollment.
- Date: March 1st.
- Who Must Attend: Any swimmer who is 8 or younger and is new to MVP, was a Mini Marlin in 2025, and/or did not compete during the 2025 swim season.

Following the evaluation, a coach will recommend the appropriate program for your swimmer: learn-to-swim, Mini Marlins, 6&Unders, or 8&Unders.
Mini Marlin Families’ Volunteer Commitments
Mini Marlin parents are required to complete 12 points of volunteer hours.
- MVP Bottoms Up: 4 points
- OMPA: 4 points
- Additional Meet/Event: 4 points (totaling 12 points)
Mini Marlin Fees:
$550 per swimmer ~ registration before May 1st will include a team shirt.
