Dear Swim Team Families,
Did you stop by MVP yesterday? For a few glorious moments in the morning, the sun came out to welcome the pool back to life. It was so fun to watch members walk in and jump in the pool with big smiles on their faces.
Meet MVP Swim Team’s New Assistant Coach Jake! Jake joins Coaches Trveor and Ashley to support our Marlins this season. A note from Jake:
Hi, my name is Jake Simpson. I’m 26 years old and have been involved in swimming and water polo my whole life. I grew up in Pleasant Hill in a family of 6 with two little sisters and an older brother. I swam for Larkey Sharks, played water polo for 680, and went to De La Salle High School. I graduated in 2016 and went on to play water polo at UCLA where I won a national championship in 2017 with the Bruins. I graduated from UCLA in 2020 and have since been coaching swimming and water polo as well as teaching at an all boys private K through 8th school in San Francisco named Town School for Boys. I’m extremely excited to get started at MVP and cannot wait to meet the team! Some fun facts:

Weekday Spring Clinics begin today! Coaches Trevor, Ashley, and Jake (see below for more info) are excited to welcome our Marlins back to the pool. Below is the practice schedule for Weekday and Weekend Clinics. It’s not too late to register; however, please remember to participate, you need to first pay your MVP club dues. If you registered for clinics and have not paid your dues yet, our team treasurer reached out to you yesterday with that reminder.
Weekend Spring Clinics begin this Saturday. Note that the Saturdays are not consecutive. The dates are listed below.
Also, a reminder to read the 2024 Swim Team Handbook and mark your calendars for Volunteer Sign Ups April 25, 26, and 27. Slots go quickly so if you want your first choice, log in when it opens.

Swim Team Registration:
6 & Under through 15-18 registration is open for returning families. In School season begins April 22.

If your swimmer is new to the swim team, did not complete in 2023, or was a Mini Marlin in 2023, please attend the 8 & Under evaluation on March 23 at MVP before registering for swim team or Mini Marlins.
