WEEK OF JUNE 3, 2024
Dear Swim Team Families,
Welcome to the first day of summer swim! Out of School season and Mini Marlins practices kicked off today. We know that technically this season is called Out of School, but summer has such a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?
We have a big week ahead - our first swim meets are this week against Moraga Ranch. We will email the meet entries and programs as soon as we receive them from the coaches.
We also look forward to hanging out with fellow parents at the MVP Swim Team Parent Party Chillout Cookout on Sunday. A big thank you to Maggie Terry and Catherine Doyle for organizing this fun event.
UPCOMING SWIM MEETS
Our first swim meet is a split meet against Moraga Ranch this Wednesday (11 & Up) and Saturday (10 & Under). Both meets will be held at Moraga Ranch Swim Club. The deadline to register for 10 & Unders is Wednesday.
Our next meet is against Campo Cabana Club on Wednesday June 12. This will be our first home meet at MVP and will include all age groups. The deadline to register is Sunday June 9.
Bottoms Up Heads Up - did you know the deadline to register is June 11? Registration deadlines for Invitationals and OMPA are earlier than regular meets. Please check the 2024 Swim Team Calendar on www.mvpswimteam.com for deadlines and plan accordingly.
Did you know that all of the season’s swim meets are listed in the Events section of www.mvpswimteam.com? Please register now for the summer season to avoid a missed registration deadline.
SWIM TEAM PICTURE DAY
Swim Team Picture Day is Thursday June 13 at MVP (practices are cancelled). This is for all age groups, including Mini Marlins. A professional photographer from HomeTeam Sports Photo will be onsite at MVP to take two poses of your swimmer - one pose will be used for the age group photo and team photo that will be featured in the OMPA program, and the second pose is an individual photo poolside.
Sign up for your picture day appointment here. Swimmers must wear their MVP swim team suits. If you do not have one, we recommend wearing solid navy blue.
There is no obligation to buy a photo package; however, if your swimmer does not attend, they will not appear in the age group or team photo.
Text "2024MVP" to 90738 to opt-in for picture day. Opt-in via text message before picture day to receive the ordering link. Once pictures are ready for ordering, all those that have opted-in via text will receive the private link and access code to place their orders. All orders are mailed directly to parents' homes.
SWIM TEAM LESSONS
Mark your calendars - Swim team lesson sign ups open on Tuesday June 4 at 8pm for lessons the week of June 10.
Coaches offer optional 20-minute private lessons for swim team members and Mini Marlins. The coach and the swimmer focus on technique, or comfort/confidence for the younger swimmers. Read more about it on www.mvpswimteam.com.

BIG BUDDIES PROGRAM
Big Buddies have been assigned their Little Buddies. The expectation is for Big Buddies to introduce themselves during the first two weeks of summer practices.
