November Update 11/8: List of important dates up to 2023!!

Hi SVYA!

I thought it might be helpful if I included an ordered list of upcoming events/notable dates for our team up to the new year!

  • USA meet in Bellingham for those of you signed up on 11/12 and 11/13 (meet timeline/schedule coming out in the next couple of days)
  • Thanksgiving break will be on 11/24 and 11/25 following the school districts in the area
  • Deadline for the 2022 PN 14&U Champs meet is on 11/23 - swimmers must have swam qualifying times from 9/1/21 until now. The meet takes place from 12/9 to 12/11 at King County Aquatics Center (KCAC)
  • Deadline for our home meet on December 4th is on 11/25 - Whatcom is making the event list so please declare if you will be there or not:)
  • Deadline for the 2022 Senior WA State Champs meet is on 12/2 - swimmers must have swam qualifying times from 9/1/21 until now. The meet takes place at KCAC from 12/15 to 12/18
  • Winter Break Practice (date TBD but before break) will be from 5:00-6:30 for all practice groups! More information will come as we get closer!
  • Our Winter break will follow Burlington/Sedro School District schedules, no practice scheduled 12/19/22 through 1/2/23
  • The Polar Plunge will be on the first day of the New Year! More information will come as we get closer!

You all might be happy to hear that our caps are finally making their way here! I got confirmation that they were being shipped just a few days ago and should be arriving shortly. I apologize for the wait, they were ordered before I moved into the head coach position way back in the summer and we are finally seeing progress from the vendor...

We are potentially planning a swim-up-the-skagit event sometime this month right before Thanksgiving break. I will post more information as soon as I meet with coaching and administrative staff to see what we can do:)
