Volunteer positions filled and needs
| Position Title | Number needed | Description |
| Level 2 official | 2 | Needed to host swim meets - they help run the competition by judging stroke/turn/starts and making sure our competitions are fair and legal. Need a level two to be the referee, and one to be running the start system. Needs certification. |
| Level 1 official | 4 | Needed to host swim meets - these officials are specifically delegated to judge strokes and turns. Needs certification. |
| Admin Official | 2 | Needed to host swim meets - these officials handle the computer system, and record results. They look through times and make sure the timing system is working, and that DQs are recorded. Needs certification. |
| Timer | 12 | Needed to host swim meets - Timers are in charge of getting times of the swimmer in their lanes. This volunteer position has no training requirements, and features the best seats in the house! |
| Meet marshall | 1-2 | Very helpful position; someone that helps make sure people are in the right spot at the right time. An example may be making sure there are no adults going into locker rooms while a swim meet is going and children are present. |
| Clerk of Course | 1 | Assists Admin Officials - can help with registration, deck entries, helps distribute prizes such as heat winners. |
| Hospitality and Concessions | 2-3 | Hospitality handles the food during meets that are provided to volunteers! Concession stands sell food (and sometimes heat sheets) to help raise money for the swim team. These can provide a big boost to our teams budget and how the program can better serve our youth! |
| Event Photographer | 1 | Any volunteer with a good camera that is willing to take pictures of the team during swim meets or other events! Since we are working with children, photographer will need to get permission to comply with SafeSport policy. |
If we cannot get enough volunteers, we cannot host these meets and lose a great opportunity for our swimmers. For a well run swim meet, it will take about 24 volunteers at minimum. The more, the better the experience for all!
Please consider volunteering as an official, we are in great need of level 1 and level 2 officials.
