February Update: Home meet and AO opportunity!!
Hi SVYA,
I hope everyone is having a good start to their month thus far!
Our home meet on Sunday is coming up real soon, and we have a few more spots to fill for timers! Please sign up if you can, and big thank you to all of you who already have :)
We also have a great opportunity for training an admin official (AO) this meet! An AO is someone who receives the DQ slips and swimmer's times and reports those results. With our electronic system, the time inputs and everything is pretty much automated, and I plan on continuing to run the system myself for the time being.
To host a meet you must have at least one AO, and so far we have been generously helped by Whatcom, who have been helping with this. Since Whatcom is not attending this meet, we are relying heavily on several level 2 officials who have stepped up to help ensure this meet happened and provide our northern swimmers another chance at making it to Boise. If you are interested in becoming an AO, Earl (official trainer and coordinator) is driving up from Seattle to assist us and has offered to help begin that process! Please email me if interested!
Warm ups will be at 7:30am for our team, and competition will begin at 8:30am. We expect the meet to finish by 11:30am.
