Update: Regionals Results and more!
Hi all!
We just recently had 6 of our 11 qualified swimmers represent Skagit County at the 2023 YMCA Regional Championships in Boise, Idaho and had many great swims! The meet took place over the weekend (March 3-5th) and featured over 250 swimmers from all over the Pacific Northwest including Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Montana, and Washington. Swimmers who placed in the top 8 receive medals and top 16 receive ribbons. Overall, we had 16 personal best swims that happened over the whole Regional Championships!!

Shelby Bahe:
- 5th in the 100 IM
- 2nd in the 50 Back
- 8th in the 50 Free
- 7th in the 50 Breast
- 9th in the 100 Free
- 1st in the 200 IM
Noah Dobbs:
- 4th in the 100 Breast
- 8th in the 50 Breast
- 12th in the 100 Free
- 15th in the 50 Back
Ella Inman:
- 4th in the 50 Back
- 2nd in the 25 Fly
- 6th in the 25 Free
- 3rd in the 50 Fly
- 6th in the 25 Back
Rowan Johnson:
- 5th in the 50 Back
- 5th in the 25 Back
- 9th in the 50 Free
- 10th in the 25 Free
Landon Taylor:
- 6th in the 100 IM
- 6th in the 100 Back
- 11th in the 50 Free
- 5th in the 100 Free
- 13th in the 50 Back
Heather Santangelo:
- 7th in the 50 Breast
- 7th in the 100 Breast
- 15th in the 200 Free
- 18th in the 50 Free
- 17th in the 100 Free
- 10th in the 200 IM
That's 19 medals and 11 ribbons coming home from Boise! Congratulations to all of our swimmers who represented us at the championship meet :)
Swimmers who qualified for Regionals received a special white cap! Those that weren't able to attend will be given their Regionals cap within the next week.

Update on the Mascot vote:
Kraken leads with 8 votes
Manta Rays in 2nd with 5 votes
Steelhead and Triton are tied for 3rd at 4 votes
I have received 26 votes, and we have 43 swimmers on the team. You may change your vote up until Monday, March 27th!
