April 25 Update: Team Suit, Meet entry deadlines, final calls for AO certification, meet recap
Good morning,
I want to start off by congratulating all of our swimmers who attended the meet last week! This was our team's first meet in a meter pool this year, and is a great first step towards trying out an Olympic sized pool! As such, everyone who swam there had a personal best swim as long as they swam legally (and our swimmers who do already have short course meter, SCM, times did also PB almost every event)! On the heat sheet, they gave "seed times" but these were all translated times based on our normal yard pool swims. These times do not really ever truly translate correctly, and are often much faster than what someone would actually swim in meters, but served to try and put swimmers in correct heats.
We will be attending meets that are Long Course Meters (LCM), which is the official Olympic size. These meets are coming up soon and do fill up fast, so please indicate if you are interested as soon as possible, so I can email the meet host to hold our spots.
Please check our calendar and either decline or accept meets as soon as you know if you can attend or not! This helps with planning, and communication with host teams.
----
Also, another big thank you to Jen Lewis for helping set up our new team suit!
