May 23 Update: No practice Friday/Monday, Upcoming home meet, and more!

Good morning SVYA Tritons,

Hoping everyone is doing good and has had some time to rest from a busy May!

Here is a quick list of important upcoming dates:

• I have updated the event page for our home swim meet on June 11th - the deadline to register will be Monday June 5th at 11:59pm.
• There will not be practice on Friday (May 26th) / Monday (May 29th) in observance of Memorial day. Our coaching staff will have workouts written for Friday for anyone wanting to independently swim that day.
• The YMCA will be closed on Monday, May 29th for Memorial Day
• We will be hosting swim team tryouts Tuesday, May 30th - Friday, June 2nd. These will be occuring from 4pm-5pm during practice, so if you know any potential teammates please spread the word! New swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards of each of the 4 competitive strokes and be comfortable with dives at the deep end as a minimum requirement. We will have another tryout session in the fall, so this won't be the only time! If you have any questions, reach out to me at any point.
