Aug 9 Update: Lake Padden Picnic and Summer's end!

Good afternoon Tritons!

Wanted to give a quick update on the Swim Picnic and reminder about the rest of August:

• The swim team picnic will be at Lake Padden (address: 4882 S Samish Way, Bellingham, WA 98229)
  • This will feature a potluck, please bring anything you would like to share! It could be helpful to have a sticky note attached for potential food allergies
  • I will be bringing two kayaks for people to enjoy, if you have anything similar, please feel welcome to share!
  • The picnic will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday August 12th - please refer to this newsletter or the event page if you need to refer to any of this information! I am also happy to answer any questions at any time, so please don't hesitate to ask me :)
• Thursday will feature a time trial for those looking to break some team records. One or two lanes will be used for the time trials, while the rest of the pool will be open for free-swim / lap swim.
• Next week there will be no coaches on deck. Swimmers are welcome to come swim, but only if they really want to! A break in the competitive swim season is highly encouraged, and many programs see a huge benefit to taking a 2-3 week break from the water (while still being physically active in the meantime). We will return to regular practice on Tuesday, September 5th.
