- This will be a combined practice day. All groups are in the water at 4:30pm, we have a Halloween themed competition from about 5:00pm-6:00pm (please be there before 5:00 to join).
- 6:00-7:00 we will have our annual Trunk-or-Treat! A seperate newsletter will be sent out to explain the event in greater detail.
Regarding Y State; I will be asking to see if Y Regionals counts towards the 3 YMCA meet requirement to participate in Y State, or if the window starts after Y Regionals. Here is a list of YMCA meets that are in our area that will count towards that requirement:
- Everett Y meet on Sep 28
- PSSA at Hazen on Oct 11
- Snohomish Y meet on Nov 15 (either Everett or Stanwood)
- PSSA Winter Challenge (we host at the Snohomish Aquatic Center)
Meets that are confirmed to count towards the 3 YMCA requirement are:
- 2025 Spring Fling (June 1st meet at Snohomish Aquatic Center)
- 2025 SVYT Pentathlon (our last home meet in August)
High school swimmers are allowed to apply for a waiver to reduce the number of Y meets required. I'll be asking the PSSA for more information on this process during a meeting in October, but I assume it will be the same process as last year.
I'll let you know if anything else pops up! And as always, feel free to ask questions at any point.
