2023 Calverton Chargers Coaching Staff

Head Coach:

Tom Donley

I started my coaching career in 1990 at St. Louis Country Day School, serving as the assistant
swimming and water polo coach while teaching high school physics and chemistry. Since then, I
have taught high school science and coached swimming and water polo at several locations,
including The Bolles School, University of Maryland Baltimore County, Retriever Aquatic Club,
Eagle Swim Team, The Hotchkiss School, and Sidwell Friends School.
I swam competitively through college, winning three NCAA Division III national swimming
championships and swimmer of the year in 1989 while representing Amherst College. I still love
the water and the sport of swimming, playing water polo and serving as an official with PVS and
on the MCSL Board.

Assistant Coach:

Kacey Tarbrake

I have been a competitive swimmer in MCSL for 13 years and a proud Charger since 2019. I was a year round club

swimmer through high school at several local clubs including RMSC and PAC. I was a varsity swimmer

and water polo player at Gonzaga College High School where I graduated in 2022.

I currently attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts where I am studying

biochemistry and a member of the varsity swim and dive team and Army ROTC battalion.

I have been a CIT and actively involved in the coaching staff since joining the Chargers in 2019

and was the Pre Team and Mini Bolts coach for the 2022 season. I am looking forward to the opportunity

to be assistant coach and excited for the upcoming season.
