The River City Swim League is split into the following competitive age groups: 6 & under, 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18. These are the age groups for competition and are determined by the swimmer’s age on May 1. A child who turns 9 on May 5 will still swim as an 8 year old for the entire season.

At our practices, although we roughly keep to these breakouts, we do consider experience and skill level an important factor in placement, regardless of age. Therefore, any practice group may have swimmers of a variety of ages. During the first week of practice, coaches will evaluate swimmers’ skill and experience in order to properly place them in practice groups. It is not uncommon for swimmers to change groups in the first few weeks of the season, and sometimes beyond.

• 5:30 - 7:00 pm -- 11 & Up -- Monday - Friday
• 7:00 - 7:45 pm -- 10 & Under*  -- Monday - Friday

June 2nd  - July 18th       *No Practice July 4th

Location: Fort Caroline Pool

Mornings

• All morning practices are Monday - Friday
• 7:30 - 9:00 am -- 11 & up
• 9:00 - 10:00 am -- 10 & Under*

Evenings

• All evening practices are Monday - Friday
• 6:00 - 7:00 -- 10 & Under* 
• 7:00 - 8:30 -- 11 & Up 

* 10 & under practice includes 10 & under, 8 & under, AND 6 & under age groups
