____________________________________________________________________

Keep your eye on this website for registration details and register ASAP. We must limit capacity for safety reasons, resulting in registration filling up very quickly each year. If your registration group is full, you are welcome to contact us to be added to our wait list. In a rare instance, if someone decides not to swim we will fill their spot from the wait list. Please note: the wait list will delete May 20th, 2026 as no new swimmers will be added after that time.

REGISTRATION DATES 2026 SUMMER SEASON:

  • March 9th - registration opens to returning swimmers
  • March 16th – registration opens to NEW swimmers, first come first served as space allows

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Go to www.swimtfs.org
  • MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT! You will be prompted to log on after you start the registration process.
  • While logged out, click on the green registration button on the home page and follow directions from there.
  • Register your child in the appropriate age group based on their age as of May 1, 2026. (Ex. Sam turns 10 on April 18; he will register with the 9-10 age group. Joe turns 11 on May 7, because he was 10 on May 1, he will also register  with the 9-10 age group)
  • Fill out the registration completely. E-mail addresses, cell phone numbers (SMS), cell phone carriers, etc., are required so that we can contact our families during the season.
  • All balances are due 2 weeks after registration. If you are paying by check, please bring your check to the pool and give to Coach Paul or another Board Member.
  • If you are applying for scholarship, choose "pay by check or cash" when prompted for payment.  Scholarship applications are available on our website and are due by March 12th for returning swimmers and March 16th for new swimmers.
  • NOTE FOR NEW SWIMMERS: f this is your first time swimming with Team Fernandina Stingrays for the summer season, we will need a copy of your swimmer's birth certificate.  Please email us a copy at [email protected] as soon as possible as your child will not officially be on the team until we get this birth certificate. If we do not receive this by April 7th we will unfortunately need to remove your swimmer from the team and fill their spot. This is a River City Swim League requirement.
  • After you register, review information on the website about practice times, event dates, and membership information.  It is a requirement at the beginning of each season for parents to review the team rules with each swimmer and ensure that all swimmers understand the team rules and agree to abide by them.  Team rules can be found on our website by clicking on the "Membership" tab.
  • Practices start on Monday April 13th!
Practice times are listed below. We have assigned practice times per age group specified to maximize distancing in the pool.
6 PM: Swimmers age 8 & Under
7 PM: Swimmers age 9 - 12
8 PM: Swimmers age 13 & up
We practice 4 days a week, Monday – Thursday at the Rec Center pool on Atlantic Ave. in Fernandina Beach. There is no "rule" for how often swimmers need to practice. We do recommend a minimum of 2 practices a week during swim meet season to help swimmers prepare for the upcoming swim meet on Saturday.
We will still practice in the rain but will not practice if there is lightning. When practices get canceled, we communicate via 3 methods: text, email & facebook. Make sure we have your correct cell phone number AND service provider in your profile to receive text messages.
Your swimmer(s) need to bring goggles, fins, and a towel to each practice. Any brand goggles and fins will work. Girls should be in one piece bathing suits. Feel free to ask a veteran swim parent for suggestions. We have a team store on our website where you can purchase gear and Stingray swag. We have a "grab" bin for donations so please bring any item you want to donate.
ONE FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR CELL NUMBER IN YOUR PROFILE WITH THE CORRECT SMS CELL PROVIDER SO YOU CAN RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES FOR PRACTICE CANCELATIONS AND OTHER IMPORTANT / URGENT TEAM UPDATES. Every year we have parents who forget to update their profile and miss important text messages. Don't let this be you!!!

GO STINGRAYS!!
