Time Standards (Last Updated Oct 2, 2023)

Time Standards represent the minimum or maximum time a swimmer must have previously swam the event to qualify.

  • A “State” qualifying time is A or faster (AZ Standards)
  • A “Regional” qualifying time is B or faster, but slower than A (AZ Standards)

The swim meet announcement (meet flyer) will the document time standard requirements in the “Eligibility” section.  Most swim meets the Stingrays host or attend are open to all swimmers.

 

Arizona ABC Time Standards (Valid through 2023)

USA Swimming Motivational Time Standards (Valid through 2024)

Spring Speedo Sectional Time Standards  (Valid through 2026**)

  • Four Corners Spring Speedo Sectional - March 21-24, 2024 in Phoenix, AZ
  • Western Region Summer Speedo Sectional - July 11-14, 2024 in Gresham, OR

** Per the decision approved at the 2023 Summer Business Meeting, the WRS Time Standards for both Spring Meets will be the same set of standards (formerly the 4C Standards), to remain unchanged, through 2026. The Summer Standards (formerly the Mt Hood Standards) will also remain unchanged through 2026.
