July 3rd and 4th and a lot of reminders

July 3rd Torchlight Parade

  • Don't forget that tomorrow is the July 3rd Parade and, per tradition, The Stingrays will be participating.  
  • Meet at 6:00pm near the grassy area at the end of First Street, between 1st Street and East 2nd Street.

July 4th 

  • No practice on July 4th.  Take the day off, eat BBQ, watch the fireworks, and be thankful we live in the country that we do!  

 

Lapapalooza

  • Please turn in your pledge money and prize order forms by July 7th to the Meaders Family Folder, or turn them in directly to Jeanne Woodford (grandma) or Andrea Meaders (mom) to Josilyn, age 8 and Taylor, age 4.  

 

Family Fun Night

  • Don't forget to put Family Fun Night on your calendar for Wednesday, July 13th from 5:30-7:30. 
  • RSVP:  Please join us for this free night of swim fun for the ENTIRE family of any Stingray swimmer.  If you plan on attending, please go to to the Sign Up Genius to RSVP.  We need to know how many people are attending so we can order appropriate amounts of food. 
  • Food:  We will have pizza and ice cream.  Pizza will be sold at a nominal $1 per slice.  Cash or Venmo payments to @Vytoca will be accepted.  
  • Belly flop contest:  All swimmers are invited to participate in the belly flop contest off of the diving board.  Rumor has it that Coach Emily was a former winner!!!!
  • Relays:  There will be parent and swimmer relays.  We will have clipboard signups at the pool on party night for you to register your group of four competitors.  
  • Volunteers:  We will need volunteers to make this evening happen!  Please go to the website and register for a job.  You will get a social job credit for working the event.  

 

9/10 Outing

  • What:  9/10 Age Group Swim Party with Inner Tube Relay Races and Pizza
  • When:  Thursday, July 7th at 4:30pm
  • Where:  Location has been previously emailed to just the 9/10 age group
  • Please bring a swimsuit and towel.  The team will provide the inner tubes and pizzas.  Junior coaches will be there to help.  Parents are welcome to stay and help if they are able.  
  • All participants must have their parent/guardian sign the Google Form Permission Slip.
  • Please visit the Sign Up Genius to donate an item as well. 

 

13/14 Outing

  • What:  13/14 Age Group Outing to an Escape Room and Fuddruckers
  • When:  Thursday, July 14th at 4:30pm
  • Where: Red Door Escape Room, 2075 Diamond Boulevard, Suite 275, Concord.  Parents please arrange your own transportation to and from the event for your swimmer.
  • You must sign this Google Forms Permission Slip for your swimmer to participate.
  • A separate waiver from Red Door Escape Room will be sent out shortly.
  • We have funds to cover part of the expense of this event but please bring additional cash to cover the rest (amount TBD depending on number of participants). 

 

Hox Last Chance Meet:  Sunday, July 17th

  • Don't forget about the Hox Last Chance Meet if your swimmer wants an additional meet to swim in this season.
  • This is not a team sponsored meet and the coaches do not attend in a working manner.  You and your swimmer are 100% responsible for meet entries, fees, and warmups.
