Competitive Swimming 101.......

For those of you new to the sport of competitive swimming, here are some summer swimming “basics” to help guide you thru your first summer swim season.

Chestnut Run is part of the Tri-County Swimming Pool Association, a 50+ year old organization of 36 summer swim clubs in Burlington, Gloucester, and Camden counties. Chestnut Run and Georgetown (in Bridgeton) are the only Tri-County clubs that are not in one of those three counties. There are other clubs you may have heard of – Elmer, Peachwood (Logan Twp), Raccoon Valley (Mullica Hill) – but they are part of a different summer league. There are 6 divisions in Tri County (A-F), and Chestnut Run is part of “F” division.  As part of the TCSPA, it is required that all swim team members are full, active members of their swim club and that all dues and fees are paid prior to the start of the season.
