Hello everyone!  My name is Katie Schmidt and I'm looking forward to being your head coach for the Windwood Warriors for the 2025 season.

I grew up in the West Chester area, having swum with the Blue Ash YMCA and Lakota West before attending and swimming for the University of Evansville.   

Back in 2004 I started my coaching journey in the summers with the Windwood Warriors and returned for a few summers while home from college. 

After graduating from UE with a degree in elementary education, I took a spin at coaching at the collegiate level before settling in to the USA realm, first with the Cincinnati Aquatic Club, then found a more permanent home with the Mason Manta Rays.  At the Rays, I was involved as a site supervisor with our lessons program when it was active, but more consistently I’ve been the lead Challenge 2 coach (advanced 11-13) and an admin contact for the program for the past several years. 

I started bringing my 5 year old to Windwood swim lessons this past summer and was able to reconnect with Dennis and the club, which led to discussions about possibly returning to my roots and rejoining the Windwood coaching staff. 

I’m excited for the opportunity to return, this time as the head coach and with my own kiddo.  Looking forward to the upcoming summer and the adventures and memories it will bring.  

I am currently a student at Miami University studying Middle Childhood Education! I want to teach late elementary school. I have worked at Windwood for the last five years and this will be my third year coaching. I started my swimming career at Windwood when I was 9 and did club swimming for the Cincinnati Marlins. In high school, I swam for Lakota West! I still swim on the club team at Miami! I love Windwood and am excited for the season! 

Hi! My name is Lucy. I am a sophomore at Ohio State University and I’m majoring in primary education. I have been swimming since I was 7 years old. I’ve swam at Hy-Crest Swim Club, Lakota YMCA, Kings High School, and I’m on the club team at Ohio State. I have done swim lessons for 4 years and I coached for a year at Hy-Crest. I’m super excited to lead the 9-10s and get to know the team!

Hi my name is Brynn Sellers! This will be my 2nd  year coaching at Windwood as well as my 4th year as a lifeguard!  I have been swimming for 11  years and just finished my 4th season of high  school swimming. I am a current senior at Lakota East and plan to attend the University of Cincinnati next year to major in speech pathology with a minor in deaf studies. I love the Windwood family and can’t wait for a great season!

Hi!  My name is Lindsay Six and this is actually my second time as a Windwood Warriors coach!  I coached the six and under age group for 9 summers from 2004-2012!  I stepped away to have my own kids but now they're Windwood Warriors themselves and I'm super excited to be coming back!  I may look familiar as I helped fill in for Coach Regan when she was out a few times over the past couple summers.  I have also coached Lakota East and West and I am currently the assistant swim coach for Kings High School.  In the "off season" I am a high school Spanish teacher at Kings!
