About Us

The SouthRidge Lakes Barracudas are a non-profit community summer swim team led by parent volunteers. For the past 35 years, we’ve been successful in providing a quality summer athletic and recreational activity for the youth of SRL, as well as for non-residents.

 

 

We compete weekly during the months of June and July against other Southlake swim teams. Through participation with the Barracudas, SRL kids and parents gain the opportunity to build strong community relations—and we have a great time along the way! Many happy summer memories and close friendships are made through this organization.

 

 

Things to know about the SRL Barracudas

  • Age Groups: 4-6; 7-8 yrs; 9 & up​ 
  • Minimum requirements: Your child must be able to swim 25 yards of the pool (the length of the pool)
  • ​Registration:
    • ​Registration and Payment is all on-line
    • Registration opens for returning swimmers on March 26, 2025 and new members on April 2, 2025
  • Swim Team Fees:
    • SRL Residents: Prior to May 1st, fees are $200 for the first child and $190 for each additional child.  Starting May 1st, the fee is $225 per child. 
    • Non SRL residents: Prior to May 1sr, fees are $225 for the first child and $215 for each additional child.  Starting May 1st, the fee is $250 per child. 
    • No Refunds after May 12, 2025
  • ​Water Polo Clinic Fees:
    • SRL Residents: Prior to May 1st, fees are $150 for the first child and $125 for each additional child.  Starting May 1st, the fee is $175 per child. 
    • Non SRL residents: Prior to May 1st, fees are $175 for the first child and $150 for each additional child.  Starting May 1st, the fee is $200 per child. 
    • No Refunds after May 17, 2025

  • Season Ending Party - Date July 13, 7:30-9:30pm at Dove Waterpark.

Team Swim Suits

Team suits are not a requirement, but encouraged to being a Barracuda but they are fun!  Your child is a returning swimmer, they can use the same suit as last year.  D&J Sports is setting up at our 3rd day of practice, 5/29/2024 from 10:00 am to Noon, to sell suits and swim gear.  You can see this years suits in the links below:
