MUS Lower School Swimming will begin after fall break! Coach Drayton Carlisle will begin practices on Tuesday, October 14. Practices will be immediately after school at the Ric Nuber YMCA on Quince Road. Our swim season is starting soon! I am excited for another great year of MUS Swimming. The first practice will be Tuesday, September 2 at 3:45 at the Ric Nuber YMCA on Quince. For the first two weeks practice will run from 3:45-5 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesday workouts will run from 3-4:30. Tomorrow night (Friday, 2/7/14) is the Shelby County Middle School Championship. More information, including the psych sheet, can be found HERE. We will need volunteers so PLEASE let Coach Drayton know if you can help tomorrow evening. Heat sheets and tshirts will be available for purchase at the meet. This Saturday is the Shelby County High School Championship Meet. For many of us it will be the last meet we swim in this year. I am very excited to see how we swim this weekend! Our last meet before the Shelby County Championships is tomorrow, Saturday January 25. Warmups will begin at 10:30AM at St. George's. We only get 20 minutes to warm up so PLEASE arrive at least 10 minutes early. We will need parent volunteers at this meet. We only need ONE timer per team. It is the longer invitational style format, so if we could have several parents work together for our ONE timing spot that would be great! The Lower School won the Boys Division in Saturday's Invitational with a total score of 100 points. 8th grader Liam Kaltenborn broke the Shelby County Middle School League record in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 29.26.
