As of November 14, senior Pace Clark has officially signed with the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Pace was the Best of the Preps Swimmer of the Year in 2012 and looks to repeat that performance in 2013. Clark also holds 4 individual MUS records and is part of all 3 school relay records. MUS had another strong meet on Thursday where they nearly tripled the 2nd place team's score! Seamus Fitzhenry and Forest Colerick both qualified for the State Meet last night as well, bringing our total to 10 qualified athletes. Our next meet is not until December 15 so we will be working hard to increase that number! TEAM SCORES INDIVIDUAL RESULTS Great job!
On Thursday the varsity swim team placed 1st in their meet. The number of state qualifiers is growing with 8 already qualified! The Memphis University School Owls went a combined 5-2 over Thursday and Saturday's meets. We had several new state qualifiers and are looking in good shape for the coming season. I am very excited with how practices have been going and expect us to be even better than we were last year! HERE you can find the heat sheets for today's meet at the Bartlett Rec Center. The warmups will START at 3pm (we have 1st session warmups) and the meet will start with the 200 medley relay at 4pm. Please arrive on time because we will start our meet warmup at exactly 3pm.
On Saturday, the MUS Lower School competed in and won their first meet of the season. The victory went well with 3 Shelby County Middle School records broken by the Owls. The MUS Varsity Swim Team kicked off the start of the season with a bang on Saturday! The Owls won the invitational with a score of 635 points over 15 different events- the next closest team scoring 444.
