All About Kraken - FAFY SwimTeam

In the fall of 2006, the Fair Acres Family YMCA the swim team that would be known as CatTracks was formed with nearly 20 swimmers.  CatTracks began as an off-season conditioning and technique improvement program for competitive swim team members
wanting to continue training during the school year.  In 2022 the CatTracks name was retired when the summer and winter team came together and formed the Kraken - FAFY Swim Team.  

The Kraken Swim Team is an almost year round swim team for the local and surrounding communities.  The team competes in two different leagues throughout the year.  One being the Tri State Swim Conference during the summer.  The other being the YMCA Heartland Area Swim League during the winter/spring.  The goal for our team is to introduce kids to the beautiful sport of swimming, and help them grow in their performance and knowledge of the sport.

Practices for the Summer begin in the middle of May and goes through the first weekend of August.
