Practice Tips: (For kids and Parents)

  • Arrive on time
  • Bring water and/or gatorade
  • Bring tennis shoes (in case we do dryland workouts)
  • Have a good attitude
  • Put your name on all your personal items with permanent markers
  • Be well rested and ready to work!
  • Encourage your teammates to do their best

Swim Meet Tips: (For kids and parents)

  • Attend meets!  Relays are the most fun and exciting races in a swim meet!  The more kids we have the more relays we will be able to sign up!  Relays are also a pivotal part in winning meets as they earn double the points an individual event does.
  • Be well rested and fueled! (Food, Hydration and Sleep are just as important as good practice!)
  • Attend warm-ups (Especially on backstroke days)
  • Cheer on your teammates
  • Listen for your events to be called and make it to the bullpen whenever your event is called
  • Talk to the coach before and after each swim
  • Stay hydrated and eat healthy snacks throughout the day
